If you bluff early when the pot is small, won't that be a bit obvious? Or perhaps throw other people off, and then there goes the chance of a bigger win. But then again a win is a win.

Bluffing is a lot of fun when it works, and it's hard not to feel a little stupid when it fails.A skill that can be learned, but it takes a fair amount of time. It has the same root as most other poker skills, the root called “know thy opponents”.

"Or, they bluff like idiots on all of the big pots, with dollar signs in their eyes."

Lol thats funny, but very true. I find the best time to bluff is when there the flop is suited with few players. You pointed out some very good tips.

Thx

Have you thought of bluffing the bluffer? well the trick is (that's if you can afford it at the time)to watch for receding bets from a potential bluffer from the flop to the turn. He/she may open with a raise and commit themselves to the round. Granted the player could hold top end cards that player may open with a large bet on the flop even if the cards flopped are small, there futile attempt to scare you off your hand! The

pattern becomes apparent on the turn when the bluffer drops the bet(their way to protect their money.) This is where you pounce, with say four cards down done of which are paint(J-Q-K-A) and you pounce hard. This shows the bluffer that you truly represent and that you are confident to win the round.I do this quite often and it is the corner stone in my play. This style of 'bluffing the bluffer' is in fact my most successful method of bluffing and earns me a lot of bulk wins in online poker. Hope this helps,
