Records Fall at EPT Vilamoura

The tournament, which is only in its second year of existence, is taking place at the Casino Vilamoura in Vilamoura, Algarve.

PokerStars qualifier Leonid Bilokur of Russia will take a chip lead of 161,000 into Day 2, which kicks off later today.

Other big stacks include Sam Trickett (132,600), Sorel Mizzi (132,200), Dario Minieri (131,400), Antonio Esfandiari (127,800) and Brandon Cantu (122,400).

There are numerous Team PokerStars Pros amongst the 221 remaining players at EPT Vilamoura including Arnaud Mattern, David Williams, Lex Veldhuis, Ruben Visser and Richard Toth.

Last year 322 players entered EPT Vilamoura with Antonio Matias eventually taking down the €400,000 first place prize.

EPT Vilamoura continues all this week with a champion crowned on Thursday.
