WSOP: Lisandro leading POY race with three bracelets, $50k HORSE final set!
Seven card games have been key to Lisandros success, as he has won his bracelets in Seven Card Stud, in Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo and in Razz tournaments. Lisandro (pictured) has also three other cashes in the Series so far and he leads the Player of the Year competition with 355 points after 50 events.

Still, Phil Ivey has been the person who has made the biggest headlines this year because of his huge sidebets. When Ivey won his first bracelet this year he reputedly said that he is going to win another one in two weeks and took all the bets people were willing to make.
Well, needless to say that he did just that and won huge amounts of money in those bets. The always standing $200k bet with Daniel Negreanu is pennies compared to these bets which are rumored to be worth a miraculous $14 million dollars!
Ivey is currently third in POY standing, but he is already trailing Lisandro by 113 points. In the second place is Finnish Ville Wahlbeck who was the man people was talking about in WSOP before Lisandro made his huge run. Wahlbeck is 80 points behind Lisandro, but he can cut the deficit as he is still in the competion of winning the $50k HORSE tournament.
The final table of the most coveted tournament of the WSOP was set yesterday and the final starts with these chips and seating:
Seat 1 - Ville Wahlbeck 645,000
Seat 2 - Erik Sagstrom 3,675,000
Seat 3 - John Hanson 1,700,000
Seat 4 - Huck Seed 1,380,000
Seat 5 - Vitaly Lunkin 2,490,000
Seat 6 - David Bach 2,345,000
Seat 7 - Erik Seidel 965,000
Seat 8 - Chau Giang 1,075,000
Although Wahlbeck is still in the tournament, he has the smallest stack and only win would catapult him back to the peak of the POY leaderboard. Still, anything can happen in poker and the win would not be that big suprise anymore after such a great success that Wahlbeck has been having in this years WSOP.
